Key Supplier Manager for Industrial Chemicals (f/m/d)
Your responsibilities:
- In this role, you are sourcing, developing and maintaining good strategic relationships with key chemical suppliers in the industrial chemicals product segments to ensure great long-term collaboration and mutual growth
- You negotiate contracts and commercial terms to secure competitive pricing, reliable supply, and favorable conditions for our group
- Furthermore, you monitor the KPI based supplier performance within our group, create valuable insights, reports and presentations
- You organize and lead regular supplier reviews, strategic business meetings and technical trainings to drive continuous improvement and innovation
- Additionally, you identify and onboard new suppliers to support our group-wide portfolio expansion and mitigate supply risks
- Thereby, you collaborate closely with group-wide internal stakeholders including our Management, Sales, Customer Service, and Logistics to align supplier capabilities with business needs to drive improvements
- You analyze market trends and raw material developments to anticipate product needs, supply chain challenges and opportunities
- Occasionally, you meet key suppliers on industry fairs or onsite (in our office or theirs)
- In parallel, you bring in your expertise for further tasks and projects such as digitalization and process optimization initiatives within supplier management
Your profile:
- You successfully finished your university or commercial education with a focus on Business Administration, Chemistry, Supply Chain Management, Sales, or a related field
- Afterwards, you gained proven experience in supplier management, procurement, sales, purchasing or strategic sourcing within the chemical industry – preferably in international distribution
- Thereby, you proved your strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen with a focus on long-term value creation
- You possess a solid understanding of chemical products, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks
- Furthermore, you are characterized by an analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, make informed decisions and drive innovation whereby your outside the box thinking and digital mindset come in handy
- You convince us with your ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and proactively drive results while building trust based long-term collaborations with internal as well as external stakeholders
- Additionally, you are a strong communicator in written and verbal German as well as English
